1 - 15 oz. pkg. Oreo cookies, crushed
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream, softened
1 lb. salted Spanish peanuts
2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 lg. can evaporated milk
1 c. semisweet chocolate chips

Combine crushed cookies with 1/2 c. melted butter and press into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Spoon softened ice cream over cookie crust. Sprinkle with peanuts. Place in freezer while preparing topping. Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and heat until chocolate chips are melted. Bring to a boil and simmer 10 minutes. Let cool thoroughly. Pour over dessert and freeze until firm. Before serving allow to soften slightly in refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
