4 med. Vidalia onions-sliced, 12 saltine crackers-crushed, 1 stick margarine, 1 can cream of mushroom soup-undiluted, 2 eggs-beaten, 1/2 to 1 c. milk, salt and pepper to taste, and sharp cheddar chesse-grated.

Melt margarine and cook the onions until tender. Butter a casserole dish and line with crackers. Save a few crackers for the top Layer onions and soup until dish is full. Mix eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour mixture over top of casserole. Sprinkle cheese and few crackers of the top. Bake until brown and bubbly at 350º.
