1 box - 12 oz. vanilla wafers
1 can 3 1/2 oz. flaked coconut
3/4 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Crush vanilla wafers with a rolling pin into very fine crumbs. Add coconut. Mix well and set aside. Work butter with a spoon until soft. Gradually add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla crumbs and coconut mixture alternately, mixing well after each addition. Beat in milk. Fold chopped pecans into batter until well blended. Turn into a well greased 10" tube pan. Bake at 325º for 1 1/2 hours or until done. Allow cake to cool thoroughly before removing from pan.
