2 cups sugar
4 teaspoons sweet-n-low
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup Crisco
5 eggs
3 cups + 3 tbsp. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar, sweet-n-low, butter, crisco together until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Sift flour, baking powder, salt together add to butter mixture alternately with sour cream. Add vanilla. Pour into large 10" pan or large tube pan. Bake in preheated oven of 300º for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Check with toothpick.

I made this cake for many years for weddings, sometimes tripling the recipe several time according to cake size.
