Dry Rub:
2tsp. kosher salt
3tbs brown sugar
1tsp course black pepper
2 tsp chili powder

Glaze
1 1/2 c cheerwine or cherry soda
1 small jar cherry preserves
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
1/4c.apple cider vinegar
1/4c.tomatoe paste
1/4 c. Dijon mustard
3tbs. soy sauce

In a small bowl combine dry rub ingredients well using a mortar and pestle or back of a heavy spoon.
Rub the mixture on each side of the ribs ..Rub Hard!
Place ribs in heavy roasting pan, add one cup of soda to pan and cover tight with foil. Slow roast in the oven at 220º for about five hours.

Meanwhile combine all glaze ingredients in 1 qrt. heavy bottomed sauce pan, use a whisk to incorporate the tomato paste. Cook over medium heat stirring often for about 45 min. or until sauce is reduced and syrupy. sauce will thicken upon standing.
Transfer ribs to platter and pour sauce over them before serving. You will have extra for serving on the side.
