1 package dry yeast
1/4 cup water
1 cup scalded milk
2 tablespoon shortening
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 to 4 cups flour
1 egg

Filling:
1/2 cup sugar
4 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 cups margarine
1/2 cup raisins if desired

Topping:
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine

Soften yeast in 1/4 cup luke warm water. Combine milk, shortening, sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Stir in 1 cup flour. Add egg and beat well. Add remaining flour to form soft dough. Let rest 10 minutes. Turn out on lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Place in lightly greased bowl. Turn once to grease surface. Cover and let rise in warm place until double, about 1 1/4 hours. Punch down. Divide dough in half and let rest 10 minutes.

Roll dough 1/4" thick - use sugar, cinnamon and margarine mixture to coat dough. Roll up and cut in 1 " pieces. Let rise in pan until double.

Topping - Mix brown sugar, margarine and nuts together and put on top of rolls.
Bake at 375° for 15 minutes.
