1 1/2 cups crushed Waverly crackers
1/2 cup divided melted margarine or butter
3 1/2 cups sliced "Sweet Floyd's Onions"
1/2 cup sour cream
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 pound or less medium grated Cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Make a pie crust of crushed crackers and 1/4 cup melted butter. Press this mixture around the bottom and sides of a 10" pie plate. Saute "Sweet Floyd's Onions" until tender, but not browned, in 1/4 cup butter. Add the sour cream, eggs, salt and grated cheese. Pour this mixture slowly over the crust. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes at 325° until pie is golden brown.

This onion pie is so creamy and so good. Floyd and Rose Mary grow onions and sell their onions all over the United States, they are called "Sweet Floyd's Onions".
