3 pounds cubed beef or pork
2 to 3 cloves fresh crushed garlic
1/4 to 1/2 cup flour
1 cup Santa Cruz chili paste
2 cups hot water
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Garlic salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat in small amount of shortening, season with salt and pepper and garlic salt. Add fresh garlic and cook until meat is tender. Add a little water if necessary. When meat is done, sprinkle about 1/4 to 1/2 cup flour over meat and stir. Add about a cup of Santa Cruz chili paste and stir well. Then add about 2 cups of hot water and stir; cook until thickened. You might need to add a little bit more water if it's too thick. Cook on low until meat is tender.
