Oklahoma Cornbread Dressing Recipe

Ingredients:  
Cornbread for dressing:
1 c. buttermilk
1 egg
1/2 t. soda
2 T. flour
1 c. corn meal
1 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
2 T melted fat (or shortening)
Pour into hot greased 9" pan. Bake 20-25 minutes at 450 degrees.

Gerry's dressing
6 c. cornbread
1 pkg Pepperidge Farm seasoned stuffing mix
4 c. broth
Melt 1 cube oleo and add
1 1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
Cook onion and celery until soft, but do not brown. Add to cornbread mixture along with:
4 well beaten eggs
2 t. salt
1 t. pepper
1 t. poultry seasoning
1 t. sage (optional)
4 more c. of broth

Bake 1 hour uncovered at 325º
