1-1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/4 c diced green pepper
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1/2-3/4 tsp garlic salt
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 c chopped onion or 2 tbsp minced dry onion
1/2 c sour cream
1 1/2 c shredded Monterey Jack cheese (8 oz)
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 (8 oz) can refrigerated biscuits

Directions:

Brown beef, onion and green pepper in pan, drain off fat. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder and garlic salt. Simmer while preparing dough. Separate biscuit dough into 10 biscuits and slice each in half to make 20 rounds. Put 10 rounds on bottom of 8 or 9 inch square pan. Combine 1/2 cup shredded cheese, sour cream and egg. Mix well. Remove meat mixture from heat and stir in sour cream mixture. Spoon over dough. Arrange remaining biscuits on top. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 375ºfor 25 to 30 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.
