1/3 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup thick applesauce
1 1/2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Dash of salt
1/2 cup raisins
3/4 cup chopped nuts
2 tablespoons apple juice

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add egg and beat well. Stir in applesauce. Add baking powder, baking soda, spices, salt and flour to butter mixture. Stir and beat until blended. Blend in raisins and nuts. Line a 9" square pan with parchment paper or waxed paper and grease. Pour in batter and bake at 375º until pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 45 minutes. Let cake rest in pan a few minutes, then turn out on rack. Mix powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons apple juice until smooth. Pour over cake while still warm.
