1 1/2 cups egg whites at room temperature
1 cup sifted cake flour
1 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon almond flavoring
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites until foamy. Add salt and cream of tartar and beat, gradually adding granulated sugar, until stiff peaks form. With metal spoon (with holes) fold in almond flavoring and vanilla. Gradually sift powdered sugar and cake mixture over egg whites and fold in gently. Pour into ungreased tube pan and cut through with knife to eliminate air bubbles. Bake at 375º for 30-35 minutes.
