1/2 cup room temperature lard
1/4 cup boiling water
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Combine lard and boiling water, beating until creamy. Add flour, salt and baking powder and stir until just blended. Press into two 9" pie pans. For filled one-crust pie, fill and bake as directed in recipe. For unfilled baked pie shell, prick bottom and sides of pastry with fork. Bake at 450 º for 10 minutes until light golden brown. Cool and continue as directed in recipe.
