Ingredients:

Soak ribs in apple juice overnight.
Rub:
equal parts of salt and brown sugar
almost as much paprika
2 Tbsp. onion powder
2 Tbsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. - 1 Tbsp. black pepper to taste
Massage rub vigorously into meat and let sit overnight.

BBQ Sauce:
2 c. ketchup
2 c. apricot syrup or jam (blended until smooth)
1/4 c. cider vinegar
1/4 c. worchestershire
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. molasses
2 Tbsp. mustard (regular or Dijon)
couple of shots tobasco or 1 Tbsp. chipotle
2 tsp. liquid smoke
1 Tbsp rub

Directions:
Directions:
Place in big pot and bring to boil, stirring constantly. Simmer for 1/2 hour, stirring constantly. Put on bottom rack in oven and bake at 450º for 20-30 minutes. Put in big roaster oven and set at 300º, pour 1/2 of sauce on ribs and slow cook for 2 hours. You can pour the other 1/2 of the sauce over the ribs before serving or place in bowl at table for guests to add, if desired.
