2/3 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup uncooked rolled oats
6 ounces chocolate chips
1/2 cup nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Beat shortening and sugars together until creamy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add salt, baking soda and flour, blending well. Stir in oats, chips and nuts. Spread into well-greased 9x13" baking dish. Bake at 350º for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while still warm.
