3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:
Directions:
Combine peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla and beat until well blended. Add egg and beat until just blended. Add salt, baking soda and flour and mix until blended. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2" apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Flatten slightly with criss cross pattern with tines of a fork. Bake at 375º for 7-8 minutes or until set and just beginning to brown.
