1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
48 candy kisses

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, peanut butter, egg, milk, vanilla and sugars until fluffy. Add baking soda, salt and flour and mix thoroughly. Form dough into 1" balls and roll in additional sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375º for 10 to 12 minutes Remove from oven and top immediately with candy kiss, pressing down so cookie cracks around edge.
