1 1/2 sticks real butter
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
enough milk or cream to create frosting consistency

Slowly melt butter in saucepan, stirring and swirling constantly until it turns a deep amber color.

Pour browned butter into powdered sugar and mix with mixer, using milk or cream as needed to create desired consistency.

Add vanilla and mix thoroughly.
