3 1/2 lbs. pork loin back ribs
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper
3 T. liquid smoke
1 medium onion, sliced
1/2 c. cola carbonated beverage
1 1/2 c. barbecue sauce

Directions:

Spray inside of 4 - 5 quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Remove inner skin from ribs. Cut ribs into 4" pieces.
In small bowl, mix garlic, brown sugar, salt, pepper and liquid smoke. Rub mixture into ribs. Layer ribs and onion in slow cooker. Pour carbonated beverage over ribs. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 8 - 9 hours.
Heat gas or charcoal grill. Remove ribs from slow cooker; drain and discard liquid. Place ribs on grill over medium heat; brush with barbecue sauce. Cover grill. Cook 15 minutes.
