For the Cake:
2 c cut up rhubarb
1/2 c white sugar
1/2 c cooking oil
1 1/2 c white sugar
1 egg
2 c flour
1 tsp b.soda
1 tsp cinnamon
dash of salt
1 c sour milk
1 tsp vinegar (or 1 c sweet milk & 1 Tbsp vinegar)
1 tsp vanilla

Brown Sugar Glaze
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c white sugar
1/2 stick butter or margarine
2 Tbsp flour
3 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla

For the cake: Mix the rhubarb and 1/2 c sugar and let stand 1/2 hour. Sift together the dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside. Cream the oil, 1 1/2 c sugar, and egg together well. Add alternately to the creamed mixture the dry ingredients with the sour milk.Then add the vanilla and the rhubarb. Batter will be thin. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 and bake @ 350º about 45 minutes.

For Brown Sugar Glaze: Mix all ingredients, and boil until thick, stirring often. Pour over cooled cake while the glaze is still hot

Can top with brown sugar glaze or just by itself. Might also serve with Cool Whip.
