4 1/2 cups flour, divided into 1 1/2 cups and 3 cups
1/2 cup fresh Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 tsp. salt
2 packages or 2 tbsp. yeast
1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
3 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 cup fresh Parmesan cheese

Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, sugar, Italian seasoning, salt.

In saucepan combine milk, and the 3 tbsp. butter. Warm slightly.

Proof the yeast in the 1/2 cup water with 1 tsp. sugar.

Add milk mixture, yeast to flour mixture. Beat @ low speed for 2 minutes.

Add eggs and beat well.

Gradually stir in enough flour to make a soft dough.

Turn dough out onto a floured surface, and knead until smooth and elastic. Your hand will leave an imprint and bounce back.

Place in a greased bowl to rise in a warm place covered with a towel for about 45 minutes or until doubled.

Punch dough down and let rest for 10 minutes.

Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly.

Divide dough into 16 equal portions. Shape each piece into a ball.

Dip tops of balls in 2 tbsp. of melted butter and then in Parmesan.

Arrange in 2 greased 9" pans.

Cover and let rise in warm place, about 30 minutes or until doubled.

Bake @ 375º for 18 minutes or until doubled.
