1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 egg yolks
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar together, add egg yolks, add dry ingredients. Make into balls, & flatten with a glass dipped into sugar. Bake 350º 8-10 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
