makes - 1 (13”x9”x3”) cake
2 cups flour, unsifted
2 cups sugar
1 cup margarine
1 cup coca cola
2 tablespoons cocoa
½ cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon salt
1-½ cups miniature marshmallows
ICING:
1/2 cup margarine
1/3 cup coca cola
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 pound box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift flour and sugar into a large bowl.
2. In a sauce pan, heat margarine, cola, and cocoa to boiling point, then pour over dry mixture, stirring until smooth (about 1 minute).
3. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda, vanilla, and salt.
4. Add marshmallows; they will float.
5. Pour batter into a greased and floured 13”x9”x2” pan and bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
Make icing:
6. In a sauce pan, heat the margarine, cola, and cocoa to boiling point.
7. Put powdered sugar in a mixing bowl and pout hot mixture over it; mix well.
8. Add vanilla, beating until creamy.
9. Evenly spread icing over the cake while cake is still hot.
