1 loaf cinnamon bread or French bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
8 eggs
3 c. milk
4 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. salt

Topping:
2 T. butter or margarine, cubed
3 T. sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
maple syrup, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Place bread cubes in greased 9x13 baking dish. In mixing bowl, beat eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and salt. Pour over bread cubes, cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Dot with butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over top. Cover and bake at 350º for 45-50 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes. Serve with syrup.
