2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
5 T. Crisco
Milk (enough to make the dough soft)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening.
Add enough milk to make the dough soft.
Lay out and knead on a floured surface.
Cut shortcake with biscuit cutter or dip large drinking glass in flour and use as cutter.
Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes.
