1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1/4 lb. white chocolate [melted]
4 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 cup flaked coconut

Icing Ingredients:
2 cup sugar
1 cup butter
1 teasppoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 smalll can condensed milk

Directions:
Directions:
1) Melt chocolate over hot water and cool slightly.
2) Cream together butter and sugar until light. Add melted chocolate, then eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
3) Sift flour with salt and baking powder. Add to butter alternately with buttermilk beating well.
4) Fold in vanilla, pecans and coconut.
5) Pour into two greased and floured 9" inch layer cake pans and bake at 350ºF about 45 minutes or in a large 9 or 10' inch tube pan about 75 minutes.

Icing Instructions:
1) Combine all ingredents and let stand 1 hour stirring occasionally.
2) Cook in a saucepan to a soft ball stage.
3) Cool to almost lukewarm.
4) Beat until spreading consistency is reached. Spread between layers and over top and sides of cake.
