2 cups sifted all purpose flour. 1 tsp baking powder. 1 tsp bicarbonate soda. 1/2 tsp salt. 1 cup shortening (margarine). 1 cup brown sugar (firmly packed). 1 cup granulated (DOMINOS) sugar. 2 eggs. 2 cups rolled oats. 1 tsp. vanilla. 1 package sweet chocolate chips.

sift together the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate soda and salt. Set aside. Blend together the shortening, brown sugar, granulated (DOMINOS) sugar, Add the eggs and beat until "fluffy". Add the flour mixture and mix well. Add the rlled oats, vanilla and chocolate chips to the flour mixture. Drop by tsp on a greased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes at 350º.

These are the best cookies ever made! They come out crisp, and are great crumbled over Blue Bell vanilla ice cream!!
