1/3 cup butter or margarine
1 Tbls water
1 egg
1/4 cup wheat flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup wheat bran flake cereal crushed slightly
1/2 cup mixed dried fruit bits
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/2 t baking soda
1 cup quick cooking oats
3 Tbls unsalted sunflower nuts

Directions:
Directions:
cream butter; add sugar; beat at medium speed on the electric mixer until light and fluffy add water, vanilla and egg mix well, combine flours and soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture and the remaining ingredients and drop dough by spoonfuls onto and ungreased nonstick cookies sheet bake at 375º for 6 minutes or until golden, cool on racks
