2 1/2 pounds flat beef brisket
1 medium sweet onion, coarsely chopped
16 oz can whole cranberry sauce
1 cup ketchup
1 cup beef broth

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Heat a large skillet over high heat. Sear both sides of brisket. Transfer to a covered roasting pan. Add onion to hot skillet. Lower heat and carefully stir in cranberry sauce, ketchup and broth until blended. Pour cranberry-onion mixture over meat -- then cover. Put in the oven and forget it! Cook 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Remove from pan and slice.
