2 1/4 cups flour - 1 Kings 4:22
1/2 cup butter - Judges 5:25
1 cup sugar - Jeremiah 6:20
1 cup raisins - 1 Samuel 30:12
1 cup figs - Nahum 3:12
1 cup almonds - Numbers 17:8
1/4 c. Milk - Judges 4:19
3 eggs - Jeremiah 17:11

Spices: 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. cinnamon,1/2 tsp. mace, dash of cloves.

Flavor: 1 tsp. grated lemon peel, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. orange and a few drops of almond.
Add to taste spices and 1 tblsp baking powder.

Bake 300 about 2 hours.
Wash and cut fruits, drain - chop almonds - measure, mix and sift 3-5 times flour, baking powder, salt, spices; cream butter and sugar, beat, add eggs beat, add lemon peel and flavorings. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk reserving a little of the dry ingredients to flour, fruits and nuts before adding them to batter. Grease & flour angel food pan.
