2 c. flour
1 pkg. yeast
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 to 2 tsps sugar
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Measure flour after sifting.

Dissolve yeast in 1/4 c. warm water.

Sift all dry ingredients together.

Mix shortening into dry ingredients with pastry blender. Add yeast and stir well. Add buttermilk.

Place in greased bowl, cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight (will keep 1 to 3 days).

When ready to use, roll out biscuits on floured board, cut into circles and place in a greased pan. Let rise 30 minutes.
