12 slices of white bread, no crusts, torn into 1" pieces
(2) 8 oz. packages of cream cheese, cut into 1" cubes
2 cups blueberries (split)
12 large eggs, beaten
2 cups milk
1/3 cup syrup
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsp corn starch
1 cup water
1 Tbsp butter

Layer 6 slices of torn bread in greased 9x13 pan. Layer cream cheese and 1 cup of blueberries over, top with remaining bread pieces. Combine eggs, milk and syrup in a bowl. Pour over pan. Cover and chill overnight. Bake in a 350º F oven covered for 30 minutes, uncover and bake 35 minutes more. In a small bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch and water. Cook in saucepan over medium/high heat, stirring constantly for 5 minutes.
Stir in 1 C blueberries, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes. Add Butter. Cut baked goods into squares and cover with the warm blueberry sauce.
