1 1/2 c. Four
1/2 tsp. Soda
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Vanilla
3/4 c. Shortening
1 c. Sugar (Can use 1/2 Brown)
1 Egg
1 c. Mashed Ripe Bananas (abt. 2 bananas)
1 1/2 c. Oatmeal (Dry)
1/2 c. Nuts or Raisins (opt.)

Directions:
Directions:
Stir dry ingredients together. Cream shortening and sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg. Beat well. Add bananas, oatmeal & nuts or raisins. Mix thoroughly. Add flour mixture. Mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets about 1 1/2 - 2" apart. Bake at 400º for 8-10 minutes.
