1 c. butter or margarine
1 lb. (2 1/4 c. packed) brown sugar
Dash of salt
1 c. light corn syrup
1-14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Butter 9X9X2 in. pan. In heavy 2 qt. saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter and stir in brown sugar, salt, and corn syrup; mix well. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Cook and stir over medium heat until candy thermometer reaches 245º (12-15 mins or firm ball stage). Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Pour into buttered pan. Cool. Cut into squares.
Makes 90-100 pieces.
