CAKE:
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 stick margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
4 T. cocoa
1 c. water
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs
1 t. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk

ICING:
1 stick margarine
6 T. milk
4 T. cocoa
1 small box powdered sugar
1 t. vanilla

TOPPING:
Nuts

Directions:
In bowl, mix sugar and flour. Set aside. Bring to boil in saucepan: margarine, Crisco, cocoa, and water. In separate bowl, beat vanilla, eggs, baking soda, and buttermilk. Mix all ingredients, pour onto greased, floured jelly-roll pan. Bake 20 minutes at 375º. While cake is baking, make icing by boiling margarine, milk, and cocoa. Remove from heat and beat in powdered sugar and vanilla. Pour the icing over hot cake, add nuts if desired.
