1 pkg. Betty Crocker Devil's Food Cake Mix
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional - I usually leave out)
1 c. semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F. Beat half of the dry cake mix, butter, vanilla and eggs in large bowl on medium speed until smooth. Stir in remaining cake mix, the chocolate chips, and the nuts (if used). Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes of until edges are set (centers will be soft). Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.

This recipe works best with Betty Crocker cake mix - I think it has something to do with the pudding in the mix. I also line my cookie sheets with parchment paper. Recommend baking for 10 minutes only - do not overbake.
