1 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar well, add eggs and vanilla and blend. Stir in dry ingredients. Chill dough several hours or overnight. Roll out to about 1/4" thickness or thinner on a well floured board. Roll out small amounts at a time, about cup size. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters. Bake at 350º until very lightly browned. Cool. Frost with Snowflake Icing.
