2 cups shredded apples
1 egg
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup pecans

Sauce:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp flour
1 tsp vanilla
1 stick margarine
2 tsp water

Directions:
Mix apples, eggs, and dry ingredients together. Bake in 8" pan at 350º for 1 hour. While cake is baking, mix the sauce ingredients together and cook until clear and thick. Pour sauce over cake when done.
