Ingredients: 2c. scalded milk 2 pkgs. dry yeast 3/4c. warm water 6 tsp. melted butter 2 beaten eggs 1/2c. sugar 4 c. all purpose flour

Directions:1. Scald 2 c. milk and set aside to cool to lukewarm. 2. Dissolve 2 pkgs. dry quick yeast, in ¾ c. warm water with 1-tsp. sugar. 3. Using large bowl add 4 c. all-purpose flour. Pour in milk and yeast mixture blending until smooth. Combine 6 tsp. melted butter, 2 beaten eggs, and ½ c. sugar and add to flour mixture. Add additional flour slowly to mix in order to bring dough together on a floured board. 4. Knead until not sticky to touch. Put into greased bowl and cover with towel until dough doubles in size. 5. Pinch off size of roll you want and put into greased sheet pan. Cover and allow to rise until doubled (approx. 50 min.). 6. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Place on cooling rack to cool and butter tops. This batch makes 4 dozen rolls. You can cut this batch in half. |
