2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup chopped onion
1 large clove garlic, minced
29 ounces chicken broth
4 cups cubed potatoes
1/2 cup sliced green onions for garnish
Salt
White Pepper
1 cup liquid non-dairy creamer or milk
1/2 pound bacon, cooked crisp

Directions:
Directions:
1. Melt butter; add flour; stir until smooth, then cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.

2. Add onion and garlic; cook until tender (about 1 minute). Gradually add broth, stirring constantly.

3. Add potatoes, salt and pepper. Boil 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

4. Reduce heat and add bacon and milk. Heat thoroughly. Garnish with green onion.
