1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sugar
11/4 c. all purpose flour
1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
5/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Mix butter and sugar. MIx egg, vanilla, and cinnamon, then blend with butter and sugar. Blend in chopped nuts. In a separate bowl, blend flour, baking powder, and salt. Blend flour mixture with the other ingredients. Bake for about 10 minutes. Cookies will become very crisp if baked for more than 10 minutes. For chewier cookies, reduce baking time.
