2lb kielbasa sliced
2 large onion, chopped
3 large garlic clove, chopped
3 tsp olive oil
2 lb fresh kale, washed, chopped
3 cans (13 3/4 oz) chicken broth
6 cups water
4 carrots sliced
1 tbsp dried marjoram crumbled
1 tsp salt or to taste
1/4 tsp pepper or to taste
optional 1/2 cup uncooked long grain white rice

Directions:
Directions:
Saute kiebalsa, onion and garlic in a large pot over medium low heat for about 10 minutes

If using fresh Kale, cut off stems and slice into 1/2 inch pieces. Keep stems pieces separate, coarsely chop fresh leaves.

Add to the pot the chicken broth, 4 cups water, carrots, marjoram, salt, pepper, and sliced fresh kale stems. Bring to boiling. Lower heat; cover and cook for 15 minutes longer. Add fresh leaves at this point along with rice to the pot. Bring to boiling. Lower heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
