8 qts. popcorn
2 cubes butter
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. light Karo syrup
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
pinch of cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
peanuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Boil gently the butter, brown sugar, Karo syrup and salt for 5 minutes. Remove from the stove; add baking soda and cream of tartar. Mix well and add vanilla & peanuts (optional). Mix well and pour over popcorn. Spread on 2 cookie sheets and Bake for 45 minutes at 225º. Loosen soon after taking out of the oven.

When the boys were very young, before Celeste was born, I hung out with Tammy Horrocks Clayton a lot. She had two girls around the same age as Jared and Andy and we cooked a lot together. This was one of the recipes we would make. Good memories!
