3/4 c. shortening
1 c. boiling water
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 c. cold water
2 pkgs dry yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
7 1/2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine shortening and boiling water; stir until shortening is melted. Combine sugar, eggs and salt and beat in cold water. Soften yeast in lukewarm water. Combine the 3 mixtures and add flour.Cover and refrigerate overnight. Shape, let rise and bake as for standard rolls. (425º for 15-20 minutes.) Immediately after removing from oven, brush margarine over the top of each. Makes 36.

These are easy to make and mom made them every Thanksgiving. After I got married it became my job to make them. One of my favorite memories was the year that I burned them a little and during grace, Brenda (who was around 11 years old) asked God to "bless Cheryl's buns".
