Beef brisket
Liquid Smoke
garlic salt
sweet pickle juice
celery seed
Open Pit BBQ sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Put Beef brisket on heavy duty foil.
2. Rub with Liquid Smoke & let stand 1 hour
3. Rub with garlic salt, sweet pickle juice, celery seed, Open Pit BBQ sauce, & 1/2 cup brown sugar
4. Cover with foil around meat, leaving air pocket.
5. Bake 300º 45 minutes per pound
6. Slice and put back in foil in liquid and leave overnight in refrigerator.
7. Warm to serve.

This recipe is from Uncle Dean Kruse's sister-in law. Betty was Dick Kruse's wife. Dick and Dean were both very involved in the HArmony Hawks Barbershop Chorus for decades.
