1 15 oz can condensed milk
1/2 cup cream or half and half
1 cup light Karo syrup
2 cups sugar
1 cup sweet mlk
1/4 cup butter

2 tsp vanilla
Some broken pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 6 ingredients together in a heavy bottomed pan. Cook, stirring constantly, to 245º on a candy thermometer.

Remove from heat and add 2 tsp vanilla.
Pour half of mixture in buttered 8 inch square pan and sprinkle with pecans if you wish. Pour rest of mixture on top.

When firm, invert on waxed paper and cut into pieces. Chill for 2 hours and wrap pieces in waxed paper.
