3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
2 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp salt

2 tsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon-mixed

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Add egg and molasses.
Sift dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture.
Form into balls and roll into mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
Bake at 375º for approximately 10 minutes.
