3/4 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1/2 cup (1/2 stick) Crisco shortening
1 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoons vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Place sheets of foil on countertop for cooling cookies. Combine peanut butter, Crisco, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed of mixture until well blended. Add egg. Beat just until blended. Combine flour, soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix just until blended. Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten to crisscross pattern with fork. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 - 8 minutes until set. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to foil; cool completely.
