Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 sticks butter
¾ C vegetable oil
3 C sugar
6 eggs
1 ½ Tbsp vanilla
6 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
9-12 C sifted flour
Sesame seeds
¼ tsp ground masticha (this is a Greek spice that I don’t think you can get in the US. I have some from Greece and plenty to share. You can make this cookie without it but it isn’t quite the same)

Directions:
Directions:
In a stand mixer, cream the butter, veg oil, and sugar until very light. Add the eggs, one at a time, blending well after each addition. Add vanilla, baking powder, soda, masticha, and 3 C of the flour. Remove bowl from mixer and stir in the remaining flour or enough to make a soft dough. Knead for a few minutes.

Pinch of small pieces of dough, and roll into long thin “snakes”. Twist them so that they look looped at the top and twisted down. I wish I could add a photo but you can always google it. Place one inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Mix one beaten egg yolk with a little milk and brush the tops of the cookies. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in 350 oven for 20 min. Makes 12 dozen.
