1/4 cup peanut oil
2 pounds spareribs
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup pineapple juice
3/4 cup vinegar
3/4 cup water
2 tablespoons catsup
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons corn starch

Directions:
Directions:
Cut ribs into serving size pieces. Can also get butcher to cut ribs in half lengthwise and cut into individual ribs to use as appetizers. Heat oil in pan. Brown spareribs. Set aside. Pour off all but 2 Tablespoons drippings. Add onion and green pepper. Cook until tender. Add pineapple juice, vinegar, water, catsup, soy sauce, worchestershire and garlic. Blend in sugar and cornstarch. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Reduce heat and add ribs. Cook uncovered over low heat about 1 hour or until tender stirring occasionally.
